Coop #1

Garden of interestOf interest to children
After several years of chicken keeping here in Mordecai, we continue to enjoy and benefit from eggs, compost and the entertainment our hens provide. We have 9 hens, 7 different breeds, and a rainbow of egg colors. Our coop, attached to our garden shed and near to a small frog pond features homemade feeders and waterers that save time. We are also experimenting with raising solder fly larvae as an additional food source for our flock, and our girls love them!!
